What is Service Learning?
Service learning projects seek to give students professional experiences by expanding the classroom into the community! Service learning students are neither volunteers nor interns as service learning requires that both the community partner and the professor instruct students throughout the project. Our team worked with the Whatcom Sports Commission and Marc Ronney. We developed and constructed this website under the tutelage of Western Washington University's Professor Jason Lind.
Who are we?
The Whatcom Sports Commission, a non-profit organization, provides enjoyable recreational facilities and programs for Whatcom County and surrounding area residents. It is our goal to provide affordable, safe, fun, and healthy environment where the community can enjoy a wide range of unique recreational programs and activities. WSC facilities and programs are operated & maintained without any burden to the taxpayers of Bellingham & Whatcom County.
Whatcom Sports Commission
We are four Western Washington University students, and proud supporters of the Whatcom Sports Commission! Meet the team and check out our personal websites for more information!
